One of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) students, Ahzami Fadilah Akbar (Electrical Engineering Department),  became the only delegate from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta who got the opportunity to study at Asia University through the "2023 Spring Exchange Program Asia University, Taiwan" program.

Asia University announced the program selection result through an email on Thursday (22/12/2022). Previously, Ahzami participated in a series of selections, namely an internal selection conducted by Yogyakarta State University on November 17-25, 2022, and 7 participants were selected. Then the external selection by Asia University on December 15, 2022, and 1 participant was selected.

In this activity, Ahzami attended lectures for one semester at Asia University from February 12 - June 16, 2023. During lectures, students are allowed to take a minimum of 3 credits and 18 credits. In addition, they can participate in activities outside the classroom, such as talent and interest activities, art, and research with leading professors at Asia University.

This program has many benefits because, besides learning advanced technology in Taiwan, it can also interact with students from various countries and deepen their understanding of international culture. In addition, these activities will open up opportunities to expand networks and develop adaptability in new situations.

Student mobility activities in the form of student exchange programs are a form of achievement of the mission of Yogyakarta State University, namely increasing national reputation (World Class University) by promoting the role of internationalization by the entire academic community, including students as a form of support for the vision and mission of Yogyakarta State University.
