Currently, UCLA is developing its curriculum for Asian Languages and Cultures Programs. “We plan to send our students in a summer program to learn language and culture in YSU,” said Prof. Gyanam Mahajan.

“It is important that the students learn about culture for one or two weeks here. I’m glad that YSU does not only offer language program but also cultural programs such as music, and batik,” she continued.

In respose to the UCLA delegates, Prof. Dr. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A. , YSU Rector, said, “YSU is open to build cooperation with universities abroad. YSU has built cooperation with universities in ASEAN such as universities in Malaysia and Thailand. This is done to promote YSU to the international community.”

In the future, the cooperation between both universities will be focused on BIPA program for UCLA students. As there are steps to take before the MoU signing, the program will start in 2016.
