UNY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION GAVE PACKAGES OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) TO HOSPITALS IN YOGYAKARTA

UNY Alumni Association provided hundreds of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) packages to private hospitals in Gunungkidul, PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, and at the Sleman District Health Office. The number of PPE distributed was 500 hazmad clothes, 500 face shields, and 1000 masks.

At PKU Muhammadiyah Wonosari Hospital on Thursday (04/06) Sutrisna said that these packages are part of UNY Alumni Association support for private hospital in Yogyakarta to fight against covid-19. “Unlike government hospital that fully supported by government budget, we aware that private health facilities also need these kind of support,” Sutrisna said.

Head of General Administration and Staffing Section, PKU Muhammadiyah Wonosari Hospital, Guntur Bayu Murti welcomed the assistance provided by IKA UNY. "We still have sufficient PPE, but any extra PPE will be highly appreciated.  After conducting several rapid test, we also support the treatment for increasing number of reactive patients.  The test confirmed around 5 to 7 reactive patients, daily ” he said.

In addition to Muhammadiyah Wonosari PKU Hospital, assistance in the Gunungkidul region was also given to Nur Rohmah Playen Hospital, RSUD Allaudya Karangmojo, Panti Rahayu Karangmojo Hospital, and Pelita Husada Semanu Hospital. The Bejiharjo Community Health Center also received a share of PPE distribution, but the submission was delivered at the Bejiharjo Village Hall. (Sud, Tj.Lak).
