UNY STUDENTS INTERNSHIPS PROGRAM IN SANYO TECH AND KOWATECH JAPAN

Representative of two Japanese companies namely President Director of  Sanyo Tec CO., LTD, Mr. Asano Kimitaka and Kowatech CO.LTD Deputy Director, Mr. Yoshio Asama visited the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta to meet with faculty leaders and greet all prospective students who will participate on the internship program in their companies (02/08/2019). Sanyo Tec Co. LTD is a company engaged in the heavy equipment industry while Kowa Tech is a Japanese company founded in 2011. The company's business lines include manufacturing or assembling complete passenger cars.

Nine students from the Department of Automotive Engineering Education and Mechanical Engineering Education will depart for Japan to take part in this internship program. Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Moh. Khoirudin, Ph.D explained that the departure time  will be set once the paperworks wre completed. "Internships to Japan have become an ongoing program for FT UNY where previously we have also sent students to Domremy Co., Ltd and Sagami Co.Ltd," he said.

"While in Japan, they really work professionally and get a monthly salary according to company standards," he said

"I am sure there are a lot of benefits derived from culture and lifestyle while living in Japan such as discipline, hard work ethics, problem solving mindset, innovation, and creativity. It will be an invaluable experience to form international quality students," he continued.

Conducting an internship program abroad will certainly not only enrich your curriculum vitae but also into improving knowledge, networking and invaluable experience, "he explained. (hryo)
