Saturday (28/9) is the last day in the Energy Saving Car Competition held in Universitas Negeri Malang. Garuda UNY Team (GUT) took part in the Fun Race. For this race, the team participated using Garuda Urban Ethanol.  On the previous day, GUT Urban Ethanol had experienced several technical failures. But in the end, this car has surprised other participants because of its ability to maintain speed as well as to save fuel used. No wonder, UNY Urban Ethanol earn the First Place on Fun Race.

Garuda Urban Gasoline successfully earn 3rd place for Urban Concept Gasoline category. It is worth to note that the previous Urban Gasoline had difficulties to run in Sepang Circuit, Malaysia.  The competition was wrapped with closing ceremony held on one of the building at Universitas Negeri Malang.

“Thank God for the result we have obtained. However, we must always be ready for all challenges and improvements that await us in the future," said Garuda UNY advisor, Sutiman, M.T.

"Although we have ranked first in the Fun Race category and ranked third in the Urban MPD Gasoline category, we still have a room from improvement. Our target next year is to get the overall champion of Kompetisi Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE) 2020," said Nurdin Wahid, manager of the urban gasoline team. (Qurlita Syaharani; Tj.Lak)
