YSU INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS PERFORMS TRADITIONAL PERFORMANCES IN YSU EDUCATION EXPO

Several YSU international students performed two traditional performances in the opening of YSU Education Expo as the 51th celebration of YSU Anniversary, Monday (20/4/2015). While the KNB (Developing Countries Partnership Scholarship) students from Nigeria, Burundi, Thailand, and Myanmar performed two songs of Karawitan namely Suwe Ora Jamu and Kuwi Opo Kuwi, the other international students performed an Indonesian traditional dance.   

The expo was joined by all faculties, institutes, and Graduate School of YSU. In addition, the expo was joined by YSU laboratory schools, Partner School of YSU-USAID Prioritas and various small enterprises.

“YSU commits to develop sustainable networking with various schools as the place of education process because we admit that the schools need higher institutions to boost their development,” said Prof.Dr. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A., Rector of YSU, in his opening speech.

Dr. Slamet Suyanto as the Committee Chairperson of 51th YSU Anniversary said that this year expo theme is “Science, Technology, Art and Sport Education as the Leading Education System through the Cooperation Among Higher Institution, Schools and Education Partners” which is in line with “Science, Technology, Art and Sport Education to Provide Leading Character” as the 51th YSU Anniversary theme.
