On Friday (11/9/2015), YSU congratulated the most outstanding students of 2015 who are going to depart and join Sit-in and Exposure Program at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D). The nine selected students will be supervised by Nur Insani, M.Sc., as the Secretary of Office of International Affairs and Partnership, and Suhandoyo, M.S. as the Vice Dean for Student Affairs of Faculty of Mathematics and Science YSU. The agenda is scheduled on 14 – 26 September 2015.

The distinguished students to join this program represent each faculty in YSU, namely Sayidah Alawiyah (Faculty of Education), Zidni Ilma (Faculty of Languages and Arts), Rita Suryani (Faculty of Mathematics and Science), Diana Prasastiawati (Faculty of Social Science), Bondan Prakoso, Nila Wulandari (Faculty of Engineering), Fajar Setyo Pranyoto (Faculty of Sport Science), Danang Waskito and Yuanda P. Perdana (Faculty of Economics).

This is the second time for DLSU-D to welcome YSU representatives, as in 2014, the university also hosted the same program. On August 2014, led by Office of International Affairs and Partnership, Dr. Ing. Satoto E Nayono, M. Eng, M.Sc., 8 students attended the same program. Based on the positive outcome of the last year sit-in program, YSU again mandated their most outstanding students to attend sit-in class in Philippines.

Prof. Dr. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A as the Rector of YSU asserted “We need to be self-assured”. This statement was raised since many YSU students have got astonishing achievements in both national and international scale. Through the sit-in program in the foreign partner university, he himself expected that after getting back from Philippines, YSU students can share their academic and other experiences to their colleges, thus more students enjoy the benefit of having international network.
