YSU PROVIDES SHUTTLE BUSES

Yogyakarta State University (YSU) has four campuses spread in the Special Territory of Yogyakarta, namely Karangmalang Campus, Kenari Street Campus, Bantul Street Campus and Wates Campus. Therefore, this education university provides free four shuttle buses for all YSU staff and students to facilitate them to move easily from one campus to other campuses. The buses take two round trip routes daily, from Karangmalang to Wates and from Karangmalang to Kenari Campus and Bantul Campus, on four times, namely at 6 a.m., 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. from Karangmalang, Bantul Campus and Wates Campus.
Dr. Moch Alip as Vice Rector for General Administration and Financial Affairs said that the shuttle buses are the university facilities provided for staff and students. “We need suggestion to make provide better service,” Dr. Moch Alip said.
Linda Setyowati as a YSU student of Wates Campus said that the shuttle bus service has helped her to join activities in different campuses. She added that it needed long time to go to Karangmalang Campus from Wates Campus because she would need to transit at Giwangan bus station before going to Karangmalang Campus.”In addition, I need at least 15.000 rupiahs for gas if I ride motorbike,” she added. “For me, taking the shuttle bus saves money.”
Sahono as one of the drivers of Karangmalang to Wates route said that he was able to drive in one hour for the route, unless there was the traffic. “Wirobrajan and Tompeyan are the heavy traffic spots, especially in the morning and in the evening,” he closed. (dedy)
