Students’ Community Service Program: Pottery Creation and Javanese Language Conservation

Tourism village is the theme chosen for YSU students for this year’s Students’ Community Service Program. One of the student groups that is Group 2033 have their community service program at the pottery and ceramics production village at Jetis, Panjangrejo, Pundong, Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Territory Province. Learning Bird and Nature Conservation through Birdwatching for Kids

Conservation is defined through theories but actions are far more needed than mere definitions. To realize their program, Bionic Group of YSU held a program called Bird Watching for Kids.

Teaching Students in the Land of Alor

The YSU scholars teaching in outermost, frontier, and disadvantaged regions program has brought Anisah Sukmawati Azmi to Probur State High School at Mataraben Village, Probur, Alor Barat Daya, Nusa Tenggara Timur Province. The Center Committee of SBMPTN (Joint Admission Selection of State Universities) along with rectors and vice rectors held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of the result selecation decision from 6-8 July 2015 in Century Park Hotel. YSU held a Training of BIPA Program for OIAP Staff (Indonesian Language and Culture Course for Foreigners) from 9 to 13 July 2015 at Office of International Affairs and Partnership. It was opened by the director of Office of International Affairs and Partnership of YSU, Dr.-Ing. Satoto E. Nayono, M.Eng., M.Sc. Special Iftar Program at YSU Dormitory

Sunday, July 6th 2015, an Iftar Food and Music Festival was held by students of the Teacher Profession Training of Scholars Teaching in Outmost, Disadvantaged, Frontier Regions of Indonesia Batch 3.
