YSU exhibited its EVO (Electric Vehicle Oddsey) and GIC (Garuda Inspection Car) at the Vredeburg Fortress Museum ICT Camp and Edu Fair on May 27th-28th 2015 in Yogyakarta. The event was held by the Educational Technology Communication Council under the theme ‘Be Smart and Creative with ICT’.

The Bimasena Team at the Division of Construction Design at YSU Student’s Unit of Engineering Technology won the third prize in the Eco House Design Competition 2015. This was a national competition held in the BNI UGM Foodpark, Yogyakarta on May 23rd 2015. The theme for this year’s event was “Fishermen Village”. |

A group of students at YSU Faculty of Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education produced Conventer Kits, a device to mix natural gas and air to fuel vehicles which use fossil fuel. They are Angger Gufita, Yadi Prabowo Mukti, and Muhammad Faturahman Baehaqi under the supervision of Dr. Mujiyono dan Dr. Eng. Didik Nurhadiyanto. |

A group of students at YSU Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences produce a cereal product made of Inocarpus fagifer or known as Tahitian Chesnut. It is to raise community awareness for food varieties. The nuts of the plant are often left unconsumed or unprocessed to be a valuable product. |

The 2015 Kencana Wijaya was awarded to Musimin, an orchid environmentalist in Merapi, Sleman, and Warso Suwito, an mangrove environmentalist in Kulonprogo, whereas the 2015 Nugraha UNY Dwija Kencana was awarded to Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wardiman Djojonegoro as his dedication in developing national education. |
