The vast change of the learning system forced education to abruptly adapt. During the pandemic, all institutions were obliged to speed their learning system to online. This new model has brought a significant impact on the education system, particularly on students. Many complaints and problems were raised which some of them are the lack of teacher-student interaction, less engaging materials, and students’ difficulty comprehending the subject.

The UNY students team has presented “Nanocomposite ZnO/Carbon Dots Cassava Outer Shell as a Photocatalyst for Methylene Blue Dyes Waste Degradation” at the World Youth Invention and Innovation Award (WYIIA) 2021. Their presentation has succeeded in convincing the judges to give award silver medals.

UNY managed to bring home the achievements of the IPITEx 2019 competition held at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand. Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEx 2016) is an International Research Competition organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) on 1 - 6 February 2019. Thailand Inventors' Day is also an international forum established to exhibit potential and interesting discoveries and innovations from international inventors /innovators.
