OIAP of YSU helds BIPA Tutor and Student Volunteer Training

One of the supporters of the rapid progress of Indonesian Language and Culture Program (BIPA) of YSU is tutor who accompany either foreign students or foreign guests in YSU. To provide the program with required tutors, Office of International Affairs and Partnership (OIAP) held BIPA Tutor and Student Volunteer Training for two days, from Thursday to Friday (30-31/7/2015) at Class A of OIAP.

The training participated by 30 participants was opened by the Director of OIAP, Dr. Ing. Satoto E. Nayono, M.Sc., M.Eng. He said that the training aims at providing the tutors and student volunteers with several important things. “The training aims at introducing them with BIPA of YSU matters and understanding of tutorial concept of BIPA of YSU,” he said.

The first day consisted of three agendas, namely Self-potential Recognition, Group Coaching and Leaderness Group Discussion by Dr.Ir.Nina Zulida Situmorang, M.Psi. and team, whereas the second day consisted of Internationalization Strategy by Dr.Ing.Satoto E.Nayono, M.Sc.,M.Eng., OIAP Introduction by Retna Hidayah, Ph.D., BIPA Tutors and Student Volunteers Introduction by Lusi Nurhayati, M.App.Ling. and Nur Insani, M.Sc., and BIPA tutors and Student Volunteers Assignments by Retna Hidayah, Ph.D. and Fitri Alfarisy, S.Pd.

Fitri Alfarisy, S.Pd. said that this training has several targets to reach. “We want to introduce the cultural concept in BIPA of YSU to the tutors and Student Volunteers, technical matters of BIPA of YSU and the description of BIPA tutors and Student Volunteers,” he added. (Yuhda)
