Malaysia

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Yogyakarta State University firstly signed the Letter of Intent with Kebangsaan Malaysia University on 23 November 2010. The MoU was officially declared on 18 July 2011 and valid until 18 July 2016.
Both universities have cooperations on:
- Education and Research,
- Academic Publication and Society Development,
- Sending students for Master and Doctoral Program,
- Lecturer exchange between Institute Alam dan Tamadun Melayu (UKB) and Faculty of Languages and Arts (YSU).

Yogyakarta State University and University of Malaya began the cooperation on 11th January 2010 and pioneered work on Sport Centre Faculty of Sport Science YSU. The first MoU was officially signed on 5th February 2010 and it was valid until 5th February 2015 but then renewed. The latest MoU is valid from 4th November 2015 to 4th November 2020.
Both universities have cooperation on:
- Exchange of scholar and teaching staff,
- Exchange of students,
- Facilitation of in-country work experience for students,
- Joint research and publication,

Yogyakarta State University and Putra Malaysia University signed the MoU on 19th May 2010 and it was valid until May 19th 2015. Both universities have cooperations on: -Exchange of scholar and teaching staff -Exchange of students -Facilitation of in- country work experience for students -Joint research and publication -Joint seminar, symposium, workshop and conference The activities: From 1st to 7th April 2013, 30 students from YSU Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences participated in sit-in program in UPM. The students were assisted by 4 lecturers. The other activities that the students had were class learning, faculty and facility visit in UPM, a visit to the Malysia Nuclear Agency and a cultural exchange night |

Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur On 28th January 2015, Yogyakarta State University and Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) signed an MoU that is valid until 28th January 2018. Both universities have coorporations on: - Academic Courses and Curriculum, -Exchange of Faculty Members, -Exchange of Students, -Joint Academic Courses, Research and Specific Research Projects, -Joint Conferences, Cultural Exchange Programmes and Consultancy Services. The activities : The coorporation between YSU and IUKL is a further result on the collaboration of both universities through sit-in activity of 15 IUKL students in Department of Management, Accounting Education, Economics Education, Office Administration Education YSU on March 2014 and also 15 YSU students in IUKL in 26th to 27th November 2014. |

Yogyakarta State University and Malaysia Sarawak University signed an MoU on 28th January 2015 and it is valid until 2020. The first meeting was Malaysia Sarawak University’s visit to YSU on 27th November 2014. Delegations from MSU were Dr. Wan Azlan Bin Wan Zainal Abidin, Deputy Dean of Centre for Graduate Studies, and Ida Juliana Hutasuhut, lecturer from Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development. From YSU side, Dr.-Ing. Satoto Endar Nayono, M.Eng., M.Sc., as Director of YSU International Affairs and Partnerships welcomed the delegations in East Senate Meeting Room, YSU Rectorate Building. Both universities have coorporations on: - Student Exchange, - Academic & Administrative Staff Exchange, - Collaborative Research Projects, - Joint Supervision, - Exchange of Teaching and Research Personnel. |

The Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Education and Education SEAMEO-VOCTECH YSU and The Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Education and Education SEAMEO-VOCTECH conduct exchange of scholar and teaching staff, exchange of students, establishment of joint degree program, joint research, joint workshop and seminar, and exchange of academic information and publication. YSU and The Regional Centre for Vocational and Technical Education and Education SEAMEO-VOCTECH held workshop on ICT implementation of international standardized learning from 26th to 27th January 2012. The workshop attracted 100 participants from some state and private universities. The workshop was also broadcasted through live streaming to 35 universities in Indonesia. |

In 2014, 20 students from Yunnan University of Nationalities joined transfer credit program in YSU. The MoU between YSU and Yunnan University of Nationalities is valid until 3rd April 2018. |

Beijing Foreign Studies Universities YSU and Beijing Foreign Studies Universities have been collaborating to carry out student exchange; faculty, scholars and administrative staff exchange; research collaboration in the fields of mutual interests, and; sharing of academic materials and information exchange. The MoU is valid from 27th May 2015 to 27th May 2020. |
Japan

YSU and Aichi University of Education (AUE) have been collaborating to carry out student exchange; professor, administrative staff and scholars exchange; scientific material, publication and information exchange, and; research collaboration, cultural and other educational activities. In 2011, AUE sent 11 students to attend study sit-in in YSU in order to understand Indonesian language and culture. In the same year, YSU sent 6 students to AUE to learn Japanese language and culture. Starting from October 2014 to September 2015,YSU had sent students to AEU for the student exchange. Regarding the research collaboration, academic staff of faculty of Education visited AUE to discuss further research collaboration which theme was preparation for elemantary teachers in Indonesia and Japan. Furthermore, the MoU is valid from 17th March 2014 to 17th March 2019. |

YSU and Yamaguchi University (YU) have been collaborating to carry out student exchange; to establish friendship and cooperation; to promote mutual understanding, academic and research collaboration, cultural & staff exchange, and; to work toward more formal, complex and binding agreement. On 20th October - 4th November 2014, YSU and YU had a collaboration program in product design. This program involved several graduate and undergraduate students of Yamaguchi University and several undergraduate students from YSU. The MoU started from 17 December 2012. |

The MoU between YSU and Pukyong National University was valid from 27th January 2010 to 27th January 2015. In the meantime, they had collaborated on academic staff cooperation on collaborative research, lectures and conferences; exchange of scholar and researcher; exchange of data, documentation, and research material; exchange of student including credit transfer, and; exchange of academic information and publication. |

YSU and Ajou University have been collaborating in guest lecturing program, exchange of students, and research collaboration. The MoU is valid from 2nd June 2014 to 2nd June 2019. On 22nd September 2014, YSU hosted a studium generale on Transportation System in Korea. Prof. Choul-Ki Lee from the Department of Transportation Systems Engineering, Ajou University and Seong-Yoen Kim from Korea Transportation System Authority (KOTSA) acted as the keynote speakers. |

The MoU between Yogyakarta State University (YSU) and Sun Moon University (SMU) is valid from 20th January 2015 to 20th January 2020. The MoU covers training programs, exchange of scientific materials, exchange of scholars in the course of academic development and sponsor of cooperative seminars, workshop and other scientific meeting for mutual interest. Also stated on the MoU are the partnership posibilities about International Peace Education curriculum and Korean language program in YSU. |

The MoU between Yogyakarta State University (YSU) and University of Auckland (UoA) is valid from 25th February 2015 to 25th February 2020. Before that, YSU and University of Auckland have been collaborating in both academic and culture fields. Some of them are joint research on multicultural education, guest lecturing from UoA lecturers, international seminar about primary education and culture, and art workshop by YSU delegates to UoA.

The MoU between the two universities covers education, research, students and teaching staff exchange, technology transfer, publication, curriculum development, and joint project and training. Previously, YSU and UNL have discussed the collaboration in early childhood education research, natural science education, hospitality, textile, fashion and design as well as music and art. |

Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht The MoU between Yogyakarta State University (YSU) and Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht is valid from 6th August 2012 to 6th August 2017. The MoU covers collaborative research project, joint academic and scientific activities (courses, conferences, seminar, symposia or lecturer), research and teaching personnel exchange, students exchange and publication and other material exchange. In 2010 to 2012, YSU and Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht held research on music education collaboratively. |

Technische Universität Dresden The MoU between Yogyakarta State University (YSU) and Technische Universität Dresden (TUD) is valid from 10th January 2012 to 10th January 2017. The MoU between the two universities covers joint or dual degree program establishment (specifically for doctoral degree vocational education program), students exchange (the home university selects the students, and then the host university will make final decision based on the academic requirements), cooperation in education sciences and other disciplines by mutual agreement and opportunity for activity and program (teaching, research, exchange of faculty, student and staff). Other than that, TUD and YSU have been running sandwich-like program to send doctoral degree students to finalize their research at Program Academic Recharging (PAR) and Program Guest Lecturing in TUD for three months. |

The MoU between Yogyakarta State University (YSU) and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is valid from 20th January 2014 to 20th January 2017. The MoU covers faculty members, students & administrative managers/coordinators exchange; joint research activities; seminars and academic meeting participation; academic materials and other information exchange, special short-term academic programs, and joint cultural programs. In 2014, there was training on social sciences laboratory management by two lecturers from YSU in JNU. YSU also had the honour to host multinational academic meeting, exploratory seminar between Indian and Indonesian Higher Institutions in October 2014. Also in October—November 2014, YSU and JNU lecturers attended training on social science laboratorium in JNU. |

The MoU between Yogyakarta State University (YSU) and Universite de Poitiers is valid from 6th June 2014 to 6th June 2019. The MoU covers development of collaborative research projects, organization of joint academic and scientific activities, research and teaching personnel exchange, students exchange, publications and other materials of common interest exchange, and any other academic activities beneficial for both universities. The fields included in the collaboration are law, economics, business and management, arts, literature and languages, human and social sciences, sport sciences, as well as sciences, technology and health. Added to that, in 2014, YSU and Université de Poitiers conducted a collaborative reasearch on art education. |

Eszterházy Károly University of Applied Sciences, Eger The LoI signing between Yogyakarta State University (YSU) and Eszterhazy Karoly University of Applied Sciences of Eger was conducted on 27th Maret 2015 to. The LoI of academic collaboration covers academic networking and knowledge transfer, student mobility and exchange, research cooperation, joint publication opportunities, joint supervision opportunites for graduate students, foreign language programs, intercultural trainings, and language coaching for academics and conferences, and other scientific events.
