On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, the UNY’s International Office organized an evaluation and academic monitoring event for international students at Bale Timoho, Yogyakarta. The event saw a remarkable turnout, with over 100 students participating, representing various programs, including KNB Programs, UNY DISS, Dharmasiswa, and BIPA. Accompanying them were coordinators and tutors for the BIPA program.

The event commenced with an opening address by Prof. Bruri Triyono, the Head of the International Office. In his speech, Prof. Bruri Triyono emphasized the importance of enjoying the academic journey at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) while adhering to the university's regulations.

Adding a touch of vibrancy to the event, there was a spontaneous singing and dancing challenge organized for the international students. This activity not only enlivened the atmosphere but also showcased the diverse cultural backgrounds present among the students. As a token of appreciation for their participation, the International Office distributed merchandise to the international students. Prof. Anita Triastuti, the Secretary of the International Office, symbolically presented the gifts to the students.

Moreover, the event also provided an opportunity for breaking the fast together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and hospitality between lecturers and international students. This gesture highlighted the inclusive environment that UNY aims to cultivate, where students from different corners of the globe come together to learn and grow.

The evaluation and academic monitoring event not only served as a platform for assessing the progress of international students but also emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and community building within the university. By organizing such initiatives, the International Office continues to support and nurture the academic and social integration of international students at UNY, making their experience both enriching and memorable.
