There are many interesting tourist destinations in Yogyakarta. One of them is Jonge Lake, located in Jonge Village, Pancarejo Village, Semanu District, Gunungkidul Regency. This lake looks beautiful because it is surrounded by an artificial forest and has an area of approximately 3 hectares so it is very comfortable to be a place of recreation. However, the  Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) skill in managing and utilizing technology for tourism promotion are still insufficient. This situation has attract  the interest of UNY Student to give assistance for the tourism development in Jonge Lake. Under Student Creativity Program (PKM),  the team consisting of Falidah, Aulia Arifiyama, Siti Maisaroh, Meysa Kurniasanti, Imtitsal Wahyu Aditama with supervisor lecturer Satriyo Wibowo, M.Pd has made a media awareness movement to support digital promotion of Telaga Jonge, Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta.

Falidah explained that the target community were Pokdarwis members with an age range between 19-35 years. Judging from the level of education, the pokdarwis community only attends middle or high school education, so that on average they married young couple or work as casual daily laborers. Therefore, they lack of sufficient digital management.

In this movement, the PKM team conducted counseling in Jonge Lake, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. The next activity is providing training and assistance related to the use of technology as a medium for tourism promotion. "The purpose of this activity is the creation of the independence and skills of the target community Pokdarwis in the use of technology, especially as a medium for tourism promotion" he explained.

"The result of this PKM activity is the increase in community skills in Telaga Jonge Gunung Kidul in utilizing technology for tourism promotion media as well as the formation of printed promotion media in the form of brochures / pamphlets and digital promotional media using social media" he concluded (Eko)
