YSU Global Culture Festival 2014

Promoting Education and Nurturing Diversity was the theme of this year's Global Culture Festival hosted by YSU. International as well as local students took part in this event by wearing traditional and creative costumes and opening food stalls. This festival was a series of three different events namely Short-Films Festival, GCF-Day Festival which included a cultural parade and a food festival, and GCF-Night Festival presenting cultural performances from YSU international and local students.
The Short-Film Festival brought up educational issues to the audience. The participants of this event could enjoy different movies during this event. In the meantime, GCF-Day Festival was started by a parade of cultural communities as well as YSU leaders, international students, electric and hybrid car racing teams, mascots of faculties, marching band, and members of students' organisations. For GCF-Night Festival, the performances of international and local students were wrapped in a drama entitled "Kampung Halaman", telling a story of a person who travels a lot and finds that he always want to come back to his hometown.
