In order to improve the quality of education and at the same time strengthen collaboration networks with various universities at home and abroad, it is important to explore and develop cooperation. One of the most recent cooperation explorations initiated by UNY was carried out through the "Cooperation Workshop between UNY and Chaoyang University Of Technology (Taiwan) in the Engineering Sector" via a zoom meeting on Wednesday (1/9).
Chaoyang University Of Technology, Taiwan represented by Ms. Sylvia Huang as the Head of International Cooperation discussed various cooperation opportunities with Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes. (Vice Chancellor for Cooperation and Planning), Prof. Dr. Edi Supriyadi, M.Pd. (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Cooperation of the Faculty of Engineering), Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning (KTSP), several lecturers from the PTSP Study Program and Applied Undergraduate Study Program and a team from Overseas Cooperation.
In this meeting, UNY and Chaoyang University of Technology agreed to explore opportunities for collaboration for Guest Lecture programs, joint research and publications, visiting professors and researchers, curriculum benchmarking and student mobility. These programs are planned to be implemented virtually for this year and offline for next year.
In addition to discussing the potential for cooperation in the engineering field, Ms. Sylvia Huang also discussed scholarship opportunities for UNY students and lecturers. The fields and majors offered include management, design (architecture, visual communication, landscape), Social Humanities and Informatics. This scholarship offer is certainly worth considering because it can improve the academic abilities of UNY lecturers and students, encourage the development of community service programs and improve the quality of education through superior collaborative research.
