UNY AND THE QUJING NORMAL UNIVERSITY FORM STRATEGIC COOPERATION

"I believe this meeting will be a good start for friendship and cooperation between Qujing Normal University and Yogyakarta State University," said Prof. Zhang Yonggang, Deputy Chancellor of Qujing Normal University in his remarks at the signing of the MoU between Yogyakarta State University and Quijing Normal University. The event was held at the UNY Rectorate University (RKU) Meeting Room on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, attended by the Chancellor, Dean, Director of PPs, Head of Institution and Head of Office of UNY.
Qujing Normal University is located in Qunjing city in Yunnan province, People's Republic of China. This university has study programs which are mostly based on education. Qujing Normal University was officially established in 2000. The university has collaborated with universities in 12 countries. Cooperation carried out in the form of training, research, and cultural exchange.
"We are an education university," opened the UNY Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Sutrisna Wibawa, M.Pd. in his remarks. This similarity opens up opportunities for further cooperation for the two universities. UNY wants to develop cooperation not only in the field of Indonesian language education and training, but also in the form of credit transfers, student exchanges, joint research, joint publications, lecturer exchanges and other activities in the form of cultural tours and art performances.
At present, there are two (2) UNY lecturers who are guest lecturers in Indonesian. The UNY Chancellor also hoped that Qujing Normal University would be willing to support UNY regarding the plan to open a Chinese Language study program. (Laksa-KUIK UNY)
