In a bid to bolster international collaboration and showcase the prowess of Indonesia's higher education sector, the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) actively participated in the prestigious 2024 Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE) exhibition, held in Istanbul, Turkey, from February 27 to 29, 2024.

During this significant event, Ditjen Diktiristek established fruitful collaborations with multiple Indonesian State Universities (PTN) and Private Universities (PTS), emphasizing on collective efforts to elevate the global standing of Indonesian academia. Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) was among the prominent participants, dedicating itself to the promotion of Indonesian culture and academic excellence on the international stage.

The Directorate General of Higher Education showcased the theme "Study in Indonesia" at the exhibition, aiming to attract prospective international students to pursue their education in the country and to develop international networking with international higher education. UNY, in alignment with this theme, took the opportunity to introduce diverse programs tailored for foreign students, encompassing degree and non-degree initiatives such as Short Courses, Summer Courses, and an Indonesian Language Learning Program. Additionally, the exhibition facilitated visits to Istanbul's campuses, providing Indonesian universities with a platform to exchange best practices and insights into their academic systems. UNY had chances to initiate academic collaborations with such institutions in Istanbul as Istanbul Technical University, Yildiz Technical University, Marmara University, and Erasmus Office at Recep Tayyip Erdogan University.

A highlight of the event was the presence of Mr. Darianto Harsono, the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia and head of the Indonesian representative in Istanbul (KJRI Istanbul).
