"MIPA EXPO 2023 is an event to display the work of student creativity and at the same time as a place to train the entrepreneurial spirit. We need a mindset change to strengthen our position towards an international class university," said Vice Rector for Planning and Finance of UNY, Prof. Dr. Lantip Diat Prasojo, S.T., M.Pd., in the opening ceremony of MIPA EXPO 2023 on May 29, 2023.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ariswan, M.Si., explained that MIPA EXPO 2023 is part of UNY's 59th-anniversary celebration. "MIPA EXPO comes with 32 booths, including faculty organizations, departments, supporting booths from the Indonesian Orchid Association, and culinary booths. MIPA EXPO was also enlivened with competition activities followed by high school students, namely acoustic competitions, singing competitions, dancing competitions, and batik eco print competitions," he said. Through MIPA EXPO 2023, UNY seeks to hone students' entrepreneurial spirit, support the preservation of art, and encourage the development of environmentally friendly products.
