The presence of UNY’s Digital Library helps students, especially those in the final year, in finding references to complete the final assignment. But since digital library is offering new media use, this is important to ensure that student will be able to use the new media effectively.  To boost further the use of digital reference, UNY’s Library Unit held an e-book and journal information dissemination on Tuesday, 30 April 2019. The dissemination session had Erik Junikon from Ebsco and Joan from Cambridge as speakers.

Prof. Dr. Margana. M. Hum, M.A., Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, said that this event was an important support to boost students’ literacy on using digital reference and promote positive internet.  While, Dr. Zamtinah M.Pd., the head of UNY’s Library UNIT, said that this event would help students to find the right reference for their research or assignment effectively.

Mutiarawati, student of Graduate Program UNY, has taken further interest in understanding e-book and journal searching. “This event is quite helpful to improve student understanding on how to find the right journal. Thus, student will be able to write better article,” she said. (Prisca Devina/JK)
