Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) welcomed assessors from the Independent Accreditation Institution for Education (LAMDIK) for a field assessment of its Civil Engineering and Planning Education undergraduate program on May 6, 2025. The visit was led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Yudi Permana, M.Des. and Dr. Sri Handayani, M.Pd., who were warmly received by UNY’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Nur Hidayanto Pancoro Setyo Putro, Ph.D., along with leaders and lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering.

Held on the 7th floor of the Imam Barnadib Building, the event aimed to empower students by helping them develop practical skills, explore career opportunities, and learn strategies for managing time and priorities to achieve their professional dreams.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) officially graduated 22 students from its Professional Engineer Program (PSPPI) on Friday, April 25, 2025. Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) showed its strong support for inclusivity by providing special assistance during the 2025 Computer-Based Written Examination for students with disabilities. Held at the Faculty of Economics’ IDB Building, UNY made sure that every student, regardless of their abilities, had the tools and support needed to take the exam comfortably and equally.

On April 23, 2025, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) hosted a field assessment for its Bachelor of Science Education program, conducted by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Teacher Education (LAMDIK). The assessment aimed to evaluate the program's quality and readiness for accreditation. The session was inaugurated by UNY's Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) successfully hosted the National Computer-Based Written Examination 2025 entrance exam for 11,216 prospective students across five days, from April 23 to April 28, 2025. According to Prof. Eduard Wolok, General Chair of the SNPMB Organizing Committee, a total of 860,975 participants nationwide registered for National Computer-Based Written Examination this year. Most applicants aimed for Bachelor’s programs (799,230), followed by Applied Bachelor’s (45,582), and Diploma programs (16,164).

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) continues to shine on the global academic stage. On March 20, 2025, UNY was honored at the "Appreciation for World-Class University Achievements: QS World University Rankings (QS-WUR) Top 500 by Subject" event in Jakarta. This recognition follows the release of the QS World University Rankings by Subject on March 12, 2025, where UNY's English Language and Literature, as well as Education programs, were ranked among the top 251-300 in the world.

On February 24-25, 2025, the Bachelor's Program in Physics Education at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences underwent a comprehensive field assessment by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Education (LAMDIK). This evaluation aimed to evaluate academic quality, facilities, and learning systems to bolster educational standards within the program.
