PRATIWI WON A GOLD MEDAL IN THE NATIONAL SPORTS WEEK (PON) 2016 IN BANDUNG

Winning a gold medal for the birthplace, of course, is a matter of pride. That is what Pratiwi Adhiati Kusumawardani felt, the students of class of 2012 of Department of Management, Faculty of Economics (FE) YSu. The struggle over the last year has yielded a great result. Together with her teammate, Tiwi, usually she is called, also contributed a gold medal for the Special District of Yogyakarta (DIY) in the Aquatic Synchronized Swimming number at the National Sports Week in 2016 in Bandung.

Yogyakarta’s Synchronized Swimming Team trained by 2008 Beijing Olympic champion from Russia, Anna Nasekina, dominated the synchronized swimming branch by sweeping three gold medals available. Tiwi felt the presence of the Russian coach influenced the team's performances. "Anna is a good coach. I'm sure she can also be a good coach for the national team if necessary, "said Tiwi.

Does Tiwi feel objection with the method adopted by Anna? "We are used to swim for hours in a day. If there is a match or a competition, we have to practice for eight hours. Four hours in the morning, four in the afternoon. If there is no competition, just 2-3 hours a day. Under the guidance of Coach Anna, we combined various combinations of movements to harmony, and for that, she is a perfectionist. Each individual is well noted, "she explained.

For Tiwi, this is her next achievement in the field of non-academic. In addition to being an Indonesia contingent in the last two SEA GAMES, Tiwi also won bronze in the event the 2nd South East Asian Swimming Championship in Singapore in 2014. Studying at the Department of Management is not an obstacle for her to gain achievements. "I chose the Department of Management also for my future. Indeed many thought that I belong to the Faculty of Sport Sciences, but once explained, they become more appreciating, "added by the Godean 1 high school graduates, Sleman.

Starting her sports career since 5 th grade, initially Tiwi was just put swimming club by her parents to not spend too much time playing. Entering the 6th grade, her choice in the synchronized swimming branch became her initial seriousness of the eldest daughter of Muhammad Musriadi and Suyatmi in world of swimming.

"Synchronized swimming is not concerned with speed. But the training methods are exceptionally draining energy and mind. In the underwater condition, the athletes will have to concentrate counting (beat of the song), view their respective positions, and should withstand sore. In addition, the body also must be the same size, "added Tiwi.

Her name who often accomplished up to the national level making it a byword in the neighbourhood where she lived. Now, after the PON in West Java, Tiwi re-concentrates finishing the thesis. The prize money approximately Rp. 90 million will be used to send her mother for Umrah and the rest will be saved. "After graduating, there are several options and bids given to me.
