Inspectorate general of State Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (SMRTHE), Prof. Dr. H. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. made a visitation to YSU in the attempt to socialize strategy for internal monitoring. It took place in YSU Meeting Room on Monday, 30 November 2015, by inviting Dean, Vice Dean, Head of Division, and Head of Sub-division in YSU. Opening the agenda was Rector of YSU, Prof. Dr. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A. He revealed that YSU is committed to green and clean government university as part of its mission as mandated.

“Since beginning up to now, financial management of YSU, is always awarded unqualified opinion” says the Rector. “Therefore, since declared Community Service Agency, we recruited contract emploeeyes from Accounting graduates.”

In his explanation, Prof. Dr. H. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. explained the old paradigm perceived internal monitoring by Inspectorate General as horrifying; this will be soon changed. “In the new paradigm, Inspectorate General becomes consultant and catalyst,”  Prof. Dr. H. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum suggested.

“In addition, Inspectorate General assists clients by solving their problems while being proactive.” As the Former Vice Rector II Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, he assured monitoring strategy by Inspectorate general of SMRTHE is to optimize capacity and role of Internal Monitoring Unit (IMU) of state universities, namely enhancing role and function of IMU, fixing organization structure, and increasing human resource capability.(dedy)
