On Friday, February 21, 2025, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) commemorated its 61st anniversary with a mass aerobics session held in front of the Rectorate Building. The event saw participation from over 2,000 members of the UNY community, including faculty, students, staff, and local residents.
"At this age, UNY is faced with the challenge of optimizing all potential effectively and efficiently in advancing and developing educational values that can be transformed to the wider community in general and students in particular. To manifest UNY's vision, we must transform our work culture for the progress of UNY," said Prof. Sumaryanto in the opening of the 60th Anniversary Reflection Night of UNY on May 17, 2024.
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta regularly holds social charity. This activity is a form of UNY's concern for helping people in need. This year, it was held at the “Panti Asuhan Yatim Piatu dan Dhuafa Muhammadiyah” on May 15, 2022, as part of the 58th UNY anniversary celebration.
To "Build Harmonization and Synergy of UNY" in the field of Health, UNY held a Fun Bike activity on Sunday, 27 March 2022. Around 280 participants participated in this activity by implementing strict Covid-19 prevention health protocols.
“This Fun Bike activity aims to strengthen the sense of togetherness among faculty members at UNY. Besides that, through this activity, let us work together to maintain our health. One of them is by exercising regularly,” said UNY Rector, Prof. Sumaryanto.
