Garuda UNY Eco Team wins 2nd place at Shell Eco-marathon Asia-Pacific and Middle East 2024

Garuda UNY Eco Team won second place at the Shell Eco-marathon Asia-Pacific and Middle East 2024 held at Mandalika International Circuit, Indonesia in the Urban Gasoline category. This achievement adds to the Garuda UNY Eco Team's series of achievements in vehicle energy efficiency competitions at the international level.

Rector Awards 2,328 Outstanding UNY Students

Coinciding with the ceremony in commemoration of National Education Day on May 2, 2024, the Rector of UNY gave awards to 2,328 UNY students who excel in the field of reasoning (723 students), sports (495 students), arts (620 students), and special interest (639 students). The ceremony was held symbolically at the UNY Rectorate Courtyard.

ASEAN Youth Eco Champion 2023: International recognition for UNY students' commitment to promoting sustainable transportation and green technology

Mochammad Zidane Nur Adha, a student of Automotive Engineering Education of UNY, was honored as "ASEAN Youth Eco Champion 2023" in an event held by The ASEAN Environment Ministers in Vientiane, Laos. The award was given directly by the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN Social Culture, Mr. Ekkaphab Phantovang, and the Minister of Environment of Laos, Dr. Bounkham Vorachit.  Siti Nurbaya, Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, also attended the event.

Firda Setia Nanda wins silver medal at WSC-ASEAN 2023

The World Skill Competition-ASEAN (WSC-ASEAN) competition is a prestigious event at the ASEAN region level that brings together the best participants from various countries to compete in various fields of expertise and industry. In this event, Firda Setia Nanda, a UNY Fashion Engineering Education study program student, represented Indonesia in the Textile Design discipline competition.

UNY Electrical Engineering student becomes winner of World Skill Competition-ASEAN (WSC-ASEAN) 2023

Angga Satriawan Aldi's winning the gold medal for the Electronics category at the 2023 World Skill Competition-ASEAN (WSC-ASEAN) proves UNY's success in providing quality learning experiences. At the competition, which took place in Singapore, Angga had to compete with participants from ASEAN member countries in various fields of expertise to show his best skills.

Swara Wadhana UNY Student Choir becomes Champion in the 13th International Choral Festival Orientale Concentus Singapore competition

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta's Swara Wadhana Student Choir won the Grand Prix Winner in the 13th International Choral Festival Orientale Concentus competition. This international choral competition occurred in Singapore from July 1 to 3, 2023.

Rosemery UNY robot wins second place in the Indonesian Dance Robot Contest

Rosemery Robot won second place in the 2023 National Level Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) at the Indonesian Dance Robot Contest (KRSTI) held offline on June 22-25, 2023, at the Universitas Semarang (USM). KRI was attended by 191 universities, with 393 teams divided into 7 categories.

Promoting Denok Dance through Rosemery Robot performance

Denok dance is one of the cultural icons in Semarang. This dance is a new creation dance in semarangan style with gambang semarang music developed by an artist and lecturer at Universitas Negeri Semarang, Bintang Hanggoro Putra. Denok dance has a unique movement that is twisting, swinging and light.  The uniqueness of this dance movement is one of the challenges that arise in the Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) Regional Level 2023, from May 28 - June 3, 2023.

Swara Wadhana UNY Won the Grand Prix Champion 11th Bali International Choir Festival 2022

Swara Wadhana Student Choir of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY)won the title of Grand Prix Champion in the 11th Bali International Choir Festival competition. This international-level choir competition takes place from 25-28 July 2022 onsite in Bali, Indonesia, with the implementation of strict health protocols. The Bali International Choir Festival is a choral competition organized by the Bandung Choral Society with the support of many conductors, teachers, and coaches.
