Promoting Denok Dance through Rosemery Robot performance

Denok dance is one of the cultural icons in Semarang. This dance is a new creation dance in semarangan style with gambang semarang music developed by an artist and lecturer at Universitas Negeri Semarang, Bintang Hanggoro Putra. Denok dance has a unique movement that is twisting, swinging and light.  The uniqueness of this dance movement is one of the challenges that arise in the Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) Regional Level 2023, from May 28 - June 3, 2023.

Swara Wadhana UNY Won the Grand Prix Champion 11th Bali International Choir Festival 2022

Swara Wadhana Student Choir of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY)won the title of Grand Prix Champion in the 11th Bali International Choir Festival competition. This international-level choir competition takes place from 25-28 July 2022 onsite in Bali, Indonesia, with the implementation of strict health protocols. The Bali International Choir Festival is a choral competition organized by the Bandung Choral Society with the support of many conductors, teachers, and coaches.

Woodball entered Indonesia in 2002, and on 2006 the Indonesia Woodball Association (IWBA) was born. Woodball has similarities with golf. In terms of equipment, Woodball uses balls, mallets, and gates, which are all made of wood. Historically, golf clubs are made of wood. But nowadays, most golfers use golf clubs made of steel, titanium, and other metals or carbon fiber. In terms of gameplay, if golf puts the ball in the hole, then woodball puts the ball into the gate.

Six UNY Robot Teams Passed the 2022 Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI) at the National Level

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta(UNY) successfully has six teams to compete in the 2022 National Level Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI), which will be held from 29 June to 03 July 2022 at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. The Indonesian Robot Contest in 2022 will feature 6 (six) divisions, namely the Indonesian ABU Robot Contest (KRAI), the Indonesian Search and Rescue Robot Contest (KRSRI), the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) on wheels, the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) Humanoid, and the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI).

UNY Students Won Gold Medals at the Vietnam Sea Games

The Indonesian men's beach volleyball team beat Thailand in the XXXI Sea Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, and won the gold medal. Indonesia had Mohammad Ashfiya/Ade Chandra Rachmawan and Rendy Verdian Licardo/Gilang Ramadhan, who collected 240 points. Interestingly, the winning team has a student of the Undergraduate Sports Coaching Education study program, Faculty of Sports Science, UNY, namely Gilang Ramadhan.

Swara Wadhana UNY Won as Grand Prix Winner at Bandung Choral Festival 2022

The Swara Wadhana Student Choir of UNY won as the Grand Prix Winner at the 2022 Bandung Choral Festival competition at Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung. This competition is a collaboration between the Bandung Choral Society and the Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) to celebrate the 20th anniversary of BNN.The 2022 Bandung Choral Festival juries are experts and experienced figures in the choir world, including Catharina Leimena, Avip Priatna, Arvin Zeinullah, Hwang Hwa Sook and Daud Kosasih.

UNY Student Won the KU82 Shirt Design Contest at Kasetsart University

UNY is always committed to providing a memorable learning experience. For this reason, UNY tries to establish cooperation with various partners to open up student exchange opportunities, internships, and academic and non-academic programs. At the beginning of 2022, UNY has sent students to participate in the credit transfer program. One of the universities that have accepted UNY students is Kasetsart University (KU) Thailand. For January to May 2022, UNY sent Andri Mustiko Wicaksono, a UNY Automotive Engineering Education Study Program student, to study at KU.

UNY STUDENTS TEAM WON THE 2021 STATISTICS INFOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

The student team from the Statistics study program of UNY, consisting of Subkhan Hikmah Fitri, Angeliya Milla Khariyani, and Dave Prihadi Nagogo Rajagukguk, successfully won the Static Infographic Competition. This competition is part of Statistika Ria dan Festival Sains Data (Satria Data) which is supported by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas).

UNY’S ROBOT MOBO EVO UNY WON THE FIRST PLACE IN KRI

Robot Mobo Evo from UNY managed to achieve first place in the National Robot Indonesia Contest (KRI) held this week online. This competition is organized by the National Achievement Center, Ministry of Cultural Education Research and Technology.  Mobo Evo was ranked number one in the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) Wheeled division which is one of the new categories that adopting 1997’s RoboCup Middle Size League international level.
