Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta(UNY) successfully has six teams to compete in the 2022 National Level Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI), which will be held from 29 June to 03 July 2022 at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. The Indonesian Robot Contest in 2022 will feature 6 (six) divisions, namely the Indonesian ABU Robot Contest (KRAI), the Indonesian Search and Rescue Robot Contest (KRSRI), the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) on wheels, the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI) Humanoid, and the Indonesian Football Robot Contest (KRSBI). Indonesian Dance Robot (KRSTI), Indonesian Thematic Robot Contest (KRTMI).
The six UNY teams that qualified for the national level were MAESTRO_EVO for the KRAI division, Gareng Punk in the KRSRI division, MOBO-EVO as the representative of the KRSBI-Wheel division, AL-'AADIYAAT who will compete in the KRSBI Humanoid event, Rosmery who will compete in the KRSTI, and ABHINAYA representing the KRTMI division.
In KRI 2022, the UNY Team must complete a gradual selection process starting with proposal selection. "After the team passed the proposal team, we have to send a video that shows our robot appearance," said Darmono as Vice-Dean of Faculty of Engineering UNY. "This Second Phase Selection is the Regional Level Indonesian Robot Contest to select robot teams that are invited in-person/offline to the 2022 Indonesian Robot Contest at the National Level in Surabaya," Darmono continued. As a result, five UNY robot teams won achievements in the region 2 contest, as follows Rosemery as the 2nd winner of KRSTI, Al A'diyaat was named the 3rd place winner of the KRSBI Humanoid, the Mobo Evo team became the consolation prize winner of the Wheeled KRSBI, the Maestro Evo team the KRAI consolation prize winner and Gareng Punk the consolation prize winner in the KRSRI division.
"We are grateful that the whole team was able to enter the national level, but of course, this is the real match, so the whole team must immediately prepare and improve," he continued.
"All teams have evaluated the performance of their respective robots during regional selection, and several shortcomings have been identified which hopefully can be used as material for improvement before the national level competition is rolled out," he added.
"We ask for prayers and support from everyone so that the entire team can present the best results during the final round in Surabaya," concluded Darmono.
