CELEBRATING UNY 55TH ANNIVERSARY WITH COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM IN SELOHARJO

UNY Institute of Research and Community Service(IRCS) held pre-social community service on Sunday 28 April 2019. The program conducted  in Seloharjo, Pundong, bantul.  Siswantoyo, Secretary of IRCS UNY, expressed his gratitude to Seloharjo community for supporting the program. Capacity development of Early Childhood Education Teachers and Info Session about disability were completed activities done on 28 April 2019. In addition there is also culinary training in Goa Jepang Seloharjo.

“This is one of our commitments, sharing with Yogyakarta community,” Siswantoyo said. This program will strengthen the connection between early childhood education teachers in Seloharjo and UNY. Mustiti, Head of Seloharjo, welcomed the program and hoped that it would be useful for Early Childhood Education teachers to be more enthusiastic in teaching students as well as getting more creative in their teaching methods.

Pujianti Fauziah, Head of Centre of early childhood education, explained that this program supported the production of teaching aids from used goods.  Teachers participated in this program successfully made pop-up books from cardboard and flannel cloth.  Nur Azizah, Head of the Study Center for Children with Special Needs, explained the material about children with special needs. The Women's and Gender Study Center LPPM organized culinary training in the form of bakwan mie, tofu and croquettes in Jepang Cave.(Dedy)
