UNY is Committed to Giving Open Education Access in Indonesia

The National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) team carried out a field assessment at UNY on the applied bachelor of Office Administration study program, Faculty of Economics. The team assessed on March 25-26, 2022. Prof. Dr. Naili Farida, M.Sc. (Universitas Diponegoro) and Dra. Maya Setiawardani, M. Pd. (Poliliteknik Negeri Bandung) came to UNY as a representative assessor to confirm various data from the Office Administration Applied Bachelor study program.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Margana, M.Hum., M.A., said in his speech that in 2019 UNY opened a Bachelor of Applied Office Administration study program according to the regulation of the Directorate General of Higher Education. "We ask for guidance from assessors to provide direction and guidance to Assistant Office Administration Assessors to better serve students and related stakeholders," he added.

“We are fully aware that access to education must be openly distributed across all provinces in Indonesia. Therefore, we accept students from various regions in Indonesia through various policies. One of them is through an affirmation scheme for remote and under-developed areas. We also encourage the development of the quality of lecturers and students through various programs without discrimination,” continued Margana.

Naili Farida said that her responsibility was to clarify the Faculty of Economics  UNY reported data. According to her, UNY is one of the universities with high enthusiasm for making report. "Although this study program has not yet graduated students, it is extraordinary that it has been able to prepare accreditation forms," said Naili.

While Dra. Maya Setiawardani, M.Pd. said, "In addition to clarifying, we will also accommodate any data changes or additions. Therefore, we ask for your cooperation for the next two days so that it gives maximum results and is beneficial for all of us," she added.

This field assessment was attended by Vice-Rectors, Dean of Faculty of Economics, Head of Department of Administration Education, Head of the applied bachelor of Office Administration study program, and representative of lecturers, students, and respected partners of the study program.
