UNY Hosts 'Design Thinking' Seminar for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), through its EduBlankOn program under Wirausaha Merdeka, held a seminar themed 'Design Thinking' aimed at transforming students into confident young entrepreneurs. The event, held on September 27, attracted 400 participants from 28 universities interested in entrepreneurship.

Key speakers included Joko Purnomo, Director of PT Samkyung Jaya Garments, and Miftahudin Nur Ihsan, CEO of Sm-Art Batik. Joko discussed Entrepreneurial Leadership, emphasizing innovation, team motivation, and creating a productive organizational culture. Miftahudin introduced Design Thinking, highlighting a user-centered approach to problem-solving that balances customer needs with business capabilities.

The seminar featured interactive workshops, allowing participants to discuss and apply the concepts. Muhammad Afif Rifqi from Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta praised the event for boosting his confidence in starting a market-responsive business.

Part of the Kampus Merdeka initiative supported by the Ministry of Education, the seminar aims to nurture creative, innovative young entrepreneurs capable of adapting to industry changes and contributing to sustainable development goals.
