From February 24 to 26, 2025, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) participated in a Training of Trainers (ToT) program on public speaking organized by Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Digital. Held at the Center for Communication and Digital Apparatus Development (Puspa Komdigi) in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, the program aimed to enhance public speaking skills among educators and administrative staff to foster more interactive and communicative learning environments. The training saw the participation of 27 lecturers, instructors, and public relations officers, including UNY's Public Relations Officer, Dedy Herdito.

Charviano Hendriko, Head of the Training and Technical Certification Team at Puspa Komdigi, inaugurated the event by emphasizing the importance of public speaking in the modern era. "Public speaking is not just about addressing a crowd; it's about conveying messages clearly, engagingly, and convincingly. We hope participants master these techniques to become better communicators in both academic and professional settings," Charviano stated on behalf of the Head of Puspa Komdigi.

The ToT program covered various aspects of public speaking, including effective communication strategies, audience engagement, and confidence-building techniques. Participants engaged in practical sessions, receiving personalized feedback to refine their skills. UNY's involvement underscores its commitment to continuous professional development, ensuring its staff are well-equipped to deliver quality education and communication.
