At the heart of Southeast Asia’s cultural heritage, indigenous communities in Indonesia and Malaysia offer a living example of how tradition and sustainability can go hand in hand. A delegation from Western Sydney University (WSU) visited Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) yesterday as part of their two-week academic visit to Indonesia. The half-day program brought together six students and two lecturers from each institution for a collaborative discussion on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
UNY was awarded as a collaborator partner of the Social Innovation Week activity as a form of implementation of UNY Mbangun Deso (UNY Program on Village Development) cooperation with Karang Taruna Yogyakarta (Yogyakarta Youth Organization).
