To facilitate prospective graduates to participate in direct recruitment with the industrial world and partner institutions, on Wednesday (22/5) at GOR UNY, an opportunity was made for UNY partner companies to share information entitled UNY Career Day. This is a form of service to partners, UNY provides an opportunity for partner companies to share information about careers, internships, and various forms of HR recruitment needed by partners. At the UNY Career Day event with the main point of Achieving Your Best Career with UNY, Rector Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes. said that to realize the Glory of the Institution and the Welfare of its Citizens, including accelerating the acceleration of graduation. A great graduate graduates quickly, has a high GPA, and a low waiting period to get a job, plus the salary earned is by his educational qualifications.
Career & Internship Expo activities contain the introduction of various professions and profiles of business / industry partners through presentations, industry partner exhibitions, and direct labor selection. This event can develop employer branding that supports the company's positive reputation and attracts prospective employees.
Participants of the activity are graduates in the period of May 2024, UNY alumni (job seekers), and active UNY students (final semester) who will carry out a certified internship program in the world of work and industry Partners of UNY. The number of UNY graduates for the May 2024 period is 1,133 people and the number of internship students is 189 people.
Attending this activity were the Rector, vice rectors, deans, vice deans, directors and secretaries, as well as several education staff. Invited speakers Sarjono, S.H. (Head of Sleman Regency Manpower Office) presented material related to Labor Law, Nabilla Aziizah Herdiansari, S.Psi, CHCO (UNY FIPP Alumni Ex HR Generalist Nava Group & Bowl-Ling Fruitbar and Kitchen) with material on Communication Skills & Further Studies, and Junjunan Mulyana, S.Pd. (UNY FBSB Alumni (Owner V Bahtera Ramadhan) provided Personal Branding & Entrepreneurship material.
