A total of 65 international students of Yogyakarta State University (YSU) seemed enthusiastic to follow the agenda Culture Camp 2016 organized by the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships. They come from various countries, such as South Korea, India, China, Thailand, Cambodia and Uganda. Culture Camp 2016 was held in the village Wanurejo, Borobudur, Magelang (11-12 / 11). The main purpose of the holding of an annual agenda is to strengthen brotherhood among international students as well as invite them closer to the culture of Indonesia.

On the first day, students were welcomed with traditional dancing by the villagers Jatilan Wanurejo. While watching Jathilan, they were also treated to some typical traditional snacks, such as clorot, spring rolls, and donuts. The event was followed by a workshop on producing pencil, cooking rengginang, and continued making pottery.

Sika, Darmasiswa program student of India was enjoying every session is presented in the agenda. She looked so blending with nature and the environment of Wanurejo village. "I feel at home here, I want to stay here and work here," she said.

After undergoing a whole series of workshops, the students had the opportunity to visit area around Borobudur temple by bicycle. The distance travelled was quite far enough taking 1 hour.

After that, they came to an area of ​​rice fields. There, they were introduced to the culture of growing rice and fished by the local community. They were invited to descend directly into the fields to see the process of growing rice, which is ploughing the field then plant the seeds in the fields.

In the evening, the event continued with Indonesian traditional games, such as clogs, stilts, and jumping rope. Salahuding Seni, student from Thailand, and Germau student of Ethiopian were recorded as the most cooperative and active participants in the Culture Camp this year.

In the agenda, Vice Rector IV of YSU, Dr.rer.nat. Senam, also came specifically to provide support for the implementation of the spirit and culture of this camp. "I believe this is your first experience in a familiar culture of Indonesia and culture of other countries. This is really positive, we hope you can take advantage of the best possible way ", said the Vice Rector IV YSU.

On the second day, students are invited to work out in the morning together. The event continued with tracking on the Menoreh hill and ended with a farewell to the villagers of Wanurejo. (Wulan)
