Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Yogyakarta Regional Office HAS signed a memorandum of understanding with UNY in RKU, Rectorate Building (16/5/2016). The representatives of BRI were the Head of the region, namely Widodo Januarso, while YSU was represented by Vice Rector II, Prof. Edi Purwanta. In this memorandum of understanding, the parties agree to develop cooperation including the utilization of services and banking instruments such as Electronic Bank Statement and Cash Management System, Collection of Education Development Fund (SPP) from students, the finance or credit facilities, among others, mortgages and credit cards for lecturers and employees, human resource and research development, as well as utilization of services and other banking instruments.
Widodo Januarso in his speech said that BRI Yogyakarta Regional Office has built partnership in the field of education by doing service in 42 universities in Southern Central Java, including Yogyakarta Special Province. "In Yogyakarta, we serve 24 universities" said Widodo "because we care to provide services to higher education institutions". As the leader of the region, he also revealed that BRI will provide special services that are expected to be the rule models where students can follow the development of the banking business and can end a dialogue using e-learning with each BRI office. Even, BRI will also provide multitasking ATM that could be interesting while depositing the money savings.
Prof. Edi Purwanta welcomed the offer of BRI and would forward that information to the Dean and the leaders of YSU. According to him, this memorandum of understanding will also strengthen a relationship between BRI and YSU. Head of UPK Bureau, Setya Budi Takarina revealed that this cooperation has been longstanding, starting from ATM placement in Kopma UNY, fund deposit for SM3T teachers as well as the establishment of Service Office on Wates campus. The signing of the memorandum of understanding ended with the presentation of token between BRI and YSU. (Dedy)
