"In order to support  Indonesian human resources, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta is committed to organizing a Healthy Campus to support and encourage every academic community and community in the campus to create a healthy environment and behavior, through a comprehensive health approach to the campus structure to improve health status. which is optimal and sustainable, improves health literacy and implements healthy campus programs, healthy campus that prioritize promotional and preventive efforts in order to maintain and improve the health of the academic community according to the characteristics, abilities, facilities, and priorities of higher education and healthy campus activities can be carried out with strategies of advocacy, partnerships, and community empowerment, "said Prof. Dr. Margana, M.Hum., M.A. when receiving a visit from the Indonesian Ministry of Health.

The visit from the Ministry of Health was represented by dr. Riskiyana Sukandhi Putra, M.Kes. Director of Health Promotion and Community Empowerment, Ministry of Health accompanied by Bagus Satrio Utomo, S.Kom., Ira Octaviana, SKM, MKM, and Heri on Thursday (19/11). Also receiving the visit were the Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs, Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Head of Bureau, Expert Staff to the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, and several staff.

On this occasion, Riskiyana was interested in the material presented by the Acting Rector at the National Healthy Campus Launching and Seminar which was held offline today which was also moderated by Riskiyana.

In the offline seminar, Margana conveyed the challenges of higher education with the demographic bonus obtained with the main prerequisites for the availability of qualified and competitive human resources that are healthy, smart, adaptive, innovative, skilled, and character. "The healthy campus program aims to mobilize all elements of the campus to play an active role in realizing a healthy Indonesia through various efforts to cultivate healthy living, which include: a clean, healthy and safe environment; the establishment of "zero tolerance" areas without smoking, alcohol, drugs, and areas free of violence; early detection of risk of non-communicable diseases and mental health; and health promotion and physical activity, ”said Margana.

Furthermore, Margana said, "We believe that the element of physical health is determined by the element of mental health. When we are mentally strong, it will automatically increase our body's immunity."
"Mental health culture is carried out by having the ability to maintain a healthy orientation to objective reality including thinking healthily about oneself, integrating personal motivation and still controlling conflict and frustration in self-development efforts, using one's capacity effectively to observe, learn, think and develop. mental functions persist to a higher level of efficiency, and the integration of thoughts and behavior is usually identified as personal integrity in promoting healthy behavior, " Margana explained.

Regarding life on campus, what do students need? Margana explains, "There is academic comfort, psychological comfort, social comfort, cultural comfort, and environmental comfort." Academic comfort, which is the creation of a conducive academic climate between the academic community in improving the quality of education. Social comfort is a condition where basic needs are met in a comfortable social interaction that involves a certain time and space. Psychological comfort, namely internal self-awareness, which includes self-concept, self-esteem, and being able to interpret life. Cultural comfort, namely the totality of the life that is lived, interpreted and practiced by members of the academic community in educational institutions. Environmental comfort, namely the atmosphere of a campus environment that provides calm and coolness through the availability of sufficient green open space and an environmentally friendly campus. The delegation from the Ministry of Health was interested in the explanation given by the Acting Rector and finally agreed to see first hand the various facilities at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta related to health facilities that support Health Promoting University. The visit started from the rector's park and saw the available Covid-19 health protocol facilities, community sports park facilities and had a chance to try one of the facilities provided in the form of a stationary bicycle, then the visit continued to the Health and Sport Center.
