The Faculty of Sports Science, UNY, implemented a collaboration with KONI Magelang Regency by conducting Physical Tests for 157 athletes from Magelang. The Physical Test for Athletes from Magelang was held at Gemilang Stadium.
In the Physical Test activity, 157 athletes who attended the event took various tests, such as (1) 30 Meter Sprint Test, to determine the athlete's running speed; (2) Shocken Test, to determine power and coordination; (3) Triple Hop Jump, to determine the athlete's right and left leg power; (4) Sit and Reach, to determine flexibility, (5) Push Up (60 Seconds), to determine arm muscle strength and endurance; (6) Sit-ups (60 Seconds), to determine the strength and endurance of the abdominal muscles; (7) Standing Balance Test, to determine balance; (8) Whole Body Reaction (WBR) Test, to determine reaction speed (9) Beep Test, to determine lung capacity/fitness.
After completing the test activity, the Faculty of Sports Science, which acts as a tester, processes the data and displays it to expose the physical test results of KONI Athletes in Magelang. The event was attended by the Chairman of KONI Magelang, Karjanto Wignyowidodo, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, the head of the Department of Sports Coaching Education, and several Lecturers.
Dr. Fauzi, M.Si. explained, that most athletes from various sports under the auspices of KONI Magelang still need guidance, direction, and motivation to increase the athlete's potential in the future to be successful at the next Provincial Sports Week. KONI Magelang must also map the number of medals from the potential sport and map the opponent's quality. This condition can be seen from the results of the Physical Tests of athletes from sports such as Swimming, Judo, Wrestling, Volleyball, Field Tennis, Petanque, Soccer, Wushu, Boxing, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Pencaksilat, Motorcycle Racing, Shooting, Handball, Pencak Silat, Hockey, Bodybuilding, Archery, Muaythai, Boxing, Sepak Takraw, Kickboxing, Roller Skating and also Athletics.
