Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) must be responsive to changes in technology, workplace requirements, and environmental sustainability issues. To build a sustainable system and prepare for TVET's digital transition, we need policy changes, development of new qualifications, and acquisition of new skills that address the needs of the digital economy and green economy. In response to this demand, the Regional Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training of Brunei Darussalam in collaboration with the Office of the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand held an International Seminar with the theme "Digitalizing and Greening TVET for Sustainable Development" on 27 October 2022 in Bangkok.
Prof. Dr. Moch. Bruri Triyono as the Coordinator of the Postgraduate Technology and Vocational Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta was selected as a panelist at the event with the theme "Issues and Innovative Practices in Digitalizing TVET". Bruri presented the title VIRANTY Development (Virtual Reality from Industry to Vocational Education); Supporting Online Learning in Post-Pandemic. The background for presenting the title is based on the experience of the transition during the pandemic and after the pandemic where the Government's Policy regarding Work, Study and Worship from home. Teaching and Learning has implemented online learning to break the chain of transmission of Covid-19. Online learning combined with on-site learning, applied theoretical and practical learning.
