INTERNSHIP PROGRAM SOCIALIZATION FOR YSU’S ACHIEVERS EDUCATIONAL EMPLOYEES TO UNIVERSITI PUTRA MALAYSIA (UPM)

The Office of International Affairs and Partnerships (OIAP) YSU held a socialization activity on the program of internship for the achievers educational employees at YSU to UPM on Wednesday, 23 March 2016, taking place at classroom B OIAP. The content of the socialization was delivered by Retna Hidayah, Ph.D as the head of International Relationship Division OIAP. The activity was attended by Siti Amironah, S.T. (Faculty of Education), Ristina Rahmawati, S.E., M.Sc. (General Bureau of Planning and Finance), Jumanto (Faculty of Mathematics and Science) and M. Hendro Kuncoro, A.Md. (Faculty of Economics).

Retna Hidayah, Ph.D explained that this internship program is meant for giving experience, knowledge and global insight for the educational employees in YSU “Through this program, Sir and Madame could see and compare the situation of the units at UTM. We hope that Sir and Madame could take some valuable knowledge during your stay at UTM and disseminate the knowledge around YSU.”
Concerning the instructional language at UPM, Siti Amironah, S.T. did inquire about her language concern. Retna Hidayah, Ph.D explained that, “Universities in Malaysia usually employ workers from many different nations that is why English is usually the most common language. However for the local staffs usually speak Malay for everyday use.”

In this occasion, Retna Hidayah, Ph.D also explained that there will be a briefing on culture, language and activities orientation. (laksa)
