Yogyakarta State University (YSU) has recently held Monitoring agenda for cooperation and English training preparation on Wednesday (6/4). The agenda was conducted in Main Meeting Room, YSU Rectorate building and invited 80 students from Malinau and Mentawai. Sukirjo, M.Pd., Dr. Margana, M.Hum., M.A. and Ari Purnawan, M.Hum., M.A acted as the speakers while facilitating the agenda.
In his presentation, Sukirjo, M.Pd. extended some significant information in light of study period and extension as well as the tuition fees for those cooperation students. Even so, he reminded those students to focus on their study. He informed YSU has established a requirement for students to have minimum ProTEFL score of 425 to attain the degree.
Dr. Margana, M.Hum., M.A delivered information related with academic regulation in light of the prerequisite. He then mentioned names who have passed the ProTEFL test and met the requirement. He also explained the significance of mastering English for students in the future. Not to forget, he invited those students to attend orientation program on Friday (8/4/2016). The test would be structure and reading test, followed with discussion regarding the test materials. Then, on the next day (9/4/2016), they would have ProTEFL test.
It proceeded to question-answer session. In this session, it was said the students must have passed the Pro TEFL examination before attending thesis defense at the end of their study. Ari Purnawan, M.Hum., M.A reminded those cooperation students to not so much rely on the materials given on the previous day, yet they were expected to learn English materials and papers they have.
