43 UNY students ready to join Batch II International Internship in Japan

UNY organized the Debriefing and Release of Students Participating in International Internship in Japan on Wednesday (29/2). A total of 43 students from 10 study programs will carry out internships in 7 companies, namely Watanabe Kogyo, Co., Ltd; Yokoyama Kenma Kogyo Co.; Yutaka Seisakusho, Co., Ltd.; Sagami Fresh Co,. Ltd.; Imazato Foods Co., Ltd.; Marco Foods Co., Ltd.; and Mutou Densetsu Kougyo, Co., Ltd. Since 2017, UNY has regularly sent students to Japan, to carry out internships for 6 months to 1 year, in industries that are relevant to the student's original study program.

The Debriefing and Release of International Internship in Japan was conducted by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNY, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes. AIFO. "UNY is committed to improving the quality of student internship programs in Japan, by strengthening industry collaboration and cooperating with various universities in Japan for academic recognition," he said.

On this occasion, partners from Meisou Co., Ltd, online from Japan, provided briefing materials related to the adaptation of work culture and living culture in Japan. The material is very important so that students can prepare various things, including physical, mental or attitude, in order to adapt in Japan. "The first thanks we have to say are to our parents who have brought us with all their hard work and love, to this point. Furthermore, to our beloved alma mater, UNY, partners and companies receiving internships, we would like to thank you for facilitating us to take our first steps abroad, to improve competence and technological adaptation" Zahra Karima Hayati, a student of Catering Education, Faculty of Engineering UNY, represented 42 students who will leave for Japan.

In the previous batch, a total of 19 students had departed in January and February 2024. During the Internship program in Japan, the company provides transportation facilities (Indonesia-Japan), pocket money and apato/apartment/dormitory.
