FT UNY Students Internship Program in Japan

Students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering Education and Automotive Engineering Education Faculty of Engineering Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) were selected for the Japanese automotive component company Internship program at  Yutaka Seisakusho Co., on 10/02/2022. Ten students passed the test from the selection process, and two became reserves. The following process will be a medical checkup before departing on June 1, 2022, and will carry out an internship for approximately one year.

The Head of the Industrial Cooperation and Collaboration Unit (UKKI) of Faculty of Engineering  UNY, Yosep Efendi, M.Pd. grateful that students can pass and take part in the internship program at this Japanese company, he believes that students will get an extraordinary experience from this program. "Japan has an outstanding reputation both regarding work culture and the quality of the products produced, so this is an extraordinary opportunity for students to develop themselves," he said.

"It's no secret, if we talk about discipline and commitment to do our best at work, then we can make the Japanese work culture a role model," he added.

“Japan is known as a nation with discipline and a high level of productivity. That's what makes the Japanese people have a high level of economy that is in line with developed countries in Europe and the United States,” Yosep continued.

He hopes that this program can run smoothly even though the pandemic continues to loom. "What is clear is that we will prepare everything well but also by paying attention to the latest conditions because, after all, the health and safety of the students is the main priority," he concluded.
