Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) commenced 2025 with the inauguration, oath-taking, and handover of positions along with the issuance of Rector’s Decrees in a formal ceremony held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the Main Meeting Room of the UNY Rectorate.
One of the key highlights of the ceremony was the official appointment of Prof. Dr. Sulistiyono, M.Pd., as Vice Dean for General Affairs, Planning, Finance, Human Resources, and Business at the Faculty of Medicine. Following the swearing-in, the event continued with the signing of the official minutes and the handover of responsibilities from outgoing officials to their successors.
The Rector of UNY, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO, personally presented the Rector’s Decrees during the event. These decrees were conferred upon two Department Heads (Kadep) and Program Coordinators (Koorprodi), 19 lecturers with Special Lecturer Identification Numbers (NIDK), 22 lecturers appointed as Expert Staff under Vice Rectors and Directorates, and 16 administrative staff members undergoing rotation or reassignment. These appointments were conducted under the supervision of the Vice Rectors.
In his address, Prof. Sumaryanto emphasized the university's commitment to enhancing both academic and non-academic services through leadership adjustments. He expressed high expectations for the individuals entrusted with new responsibilities, underscoring their critical role in advancing UNY’s mission.
“We hope all those entrusted with these responsibilities will contribute their utmost to UNY’s progress. A position is a significant responsibility that must be carried out with dedication and integrity,” stated Prof. Sumaryanto.
The inauguration marks a pivotal step for UNY as it aims to continue its trajectory of excellence, fostering a positive impact on education at both national and international levels.
