Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) hosted its annual Fun Bike Event on Saturday, May 3, 2025. The event kicked off with a cheerful atmosphere as around 400 participants, including university leaders, faculty members, students, staff, and the local community, gathered at the UNY Rectorate courtyard. The 10-kilometer route stretched through major streets in Yogyakarta, reflecting UNY’s spirit of unity and health. “A healthy body leads to an optimal mind and spirit, ready to tackle any challenge,” remarked UNY Rector Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO, during the opening ceremony.
The excitement didn’t end with the ride. Participants eagerly awaited the door prize announcement, which included impressive rewards such as washing machines, mountain bikes, Android TVs, and the grand prize—a two-door refrigerator. The lucky winner of the grand prize was Wenny Pinta Litna Tarigan, a Biology Education lecturer from FMIPA. “I came here to celebrate UNY’s anniversary and enjoy a healthy bike ride, but I’m going home with a new fridge! Thank you, UNY. Happy 61st Anniversary!” she shared with enthusiasm.
