"The certified independent study and internship (MSIB) program is a bridge for students to prepare themselves to become professional practitioners, entrepreneurs, academics, or freelancers. Students must be prepared to face technological, socio-cultural, labor, and environmental challenges. Internship activities also open up opportunities for students to get a job offer before graduation," said Ria Aprilia, M.Psi. as MSIB manager. This session provided more overview of the MSIB Program(Internship and Certified Independent Study) and PMM Program (Independent Student Exchange). More than 600 online participants successfully attended the info session.
The MSIB program provides opportunities for students to solve real problems and hone their job skills through the guidance of a professional mentor. This program is open to bachelor/diploma students who have received a letter of recommendation and a Statement of Absolute Liability and meet the qualifications of an apprenticeship partner.
UNY Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Siswantoyo, said that UNY had completed the PMM program in 2022. "Through this info session activity, we hope we will obtain the latest information regarding the MSIB and PMM programs from competent sources," said Prof. Siswantoyo, Tuesday (17 January 2023).
"The number of students outside UNY who take part in PMM at UNY is far more than the number of UNY students who take part in PMM outside UNY. I hope the study program can select ten students each to participate in PMM and ten students for MSIB," said Prof. Siswantoyo.
