Eight doctoral students of Technology and Vocational Education of UNY had the opportunity to attend the General Lecture at Nanyang Polytechnic Singapore and the Research Methodology Colloquium at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. Through these activities, students learned about the latest trends in education and research methodology.

The methods applied in this activity included expert presentations, interactive discussions, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and exploration of practical contexts. Issues discussed include the changing paradigm of education in the digital era, curriculum adaptation to meet the needs of the 21st century, the application of technology in learning, and the identification of effective research methods.

Through this activity, students are expected to develop critical and analytical thinking and collaboration skills needed in the world of education and research. In addition, they will be able to apply their understanding to real contexts, designing more interactive and technology-based teaching and planning more holistic and community-oriented research. By exploring new concepts and more inclusive approaches in education and applying appropriate research methodologies, doctoral students of Technology and Vocational Education can improve the quality of education and scientific contributions.
