Engineering Faculty of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta keep their effort in improving their networking and developing their graduate competencies.One of the steps taken by the university was implemented through PPL (students teaching practicum) in Malaysia, this program also aim to support the student’s credit and has been going on since 2012. This program is in line with the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM).

FIS Basketball is the name of a basketball community in Faculty of Social Sciences UNY. The community established in 2012 and initiated by FIS students. One of the members of FIS Basketball, Fika Kurniasari, explained that in the beginning, the community has only few members but it increased in number as time progresses. Both men and women are actively participating in the community.

Every corner has an internet network. To maintain social relations, the Kampung Cyber community applies the Pagar Mangkok culture as Javanese cultural wisdom. Pagar Mangkok is a culture of caring by sharing with others who live around the environment voluntarily.

World Class University (WCU) in terms of QS World University Ranking includes research quality, teaching quality, graduate employability and international outlook. Academic reputation has the greatest weight in the World University Ranking, besides that there are citations and lecturer-student ratios. In ITB ranking is not the goal, be it international ranking, BAN PT, and so on. Ranking is a negative tool to find out whether our body is healthy or not. As stated by the ITB Rector Kadarsyah Suryadi in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) at the UNY Rectorate, Wednesday (12/12).
