PT GLOBAL CARFIX INDONESIA COLLABORATION WITH FT UNY FOR THE BRANCH HEAD TRAINING PROGRAM AND ADVISOR SERVICE

Faculty of Engineering Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta collaborates with PT Global Carfix Indonesia to organized Training Program for Head Branches and Service Advisor. This program was started with the signing of Memorandum of Agreement(MoA) between President Director of PT Global Carfix Indonesia, Tarsimin and the Dean of Faculty of Engineering UNY, Prof. Herman Dwi Surjono, Ph.D. The MoA will be the basis for cooperation activities on the faculty level. Tarsimin also signed Implementing Arrangement(IA) with Dr. Zainal Arifin, M.T.(Head of Automotive Engineering Education Study Program) and Drs. Moch. Solikin, M.Kes. (Head of Automotive Engineering Study Program)(09/12/2019). The signing of IA is a starting point for more technical and specific activities in the level of study program. Thus, it is a good opportunity to develop further activities for various study programs in UNY Faculty of Engineering.

The signing of legal documents between UNY and Carfix open wide range of future mutual cooperation and collaboration. Carfix  is engaged in automotive distribution and retail business. The company is an official distributor of famous and good quality automotive products such as oil, tires and batteries. The distributed brands are  Shell, Evalube, Total, Agip, Michelin and Kingland tires, as well as Incoe batteries and Denso spare parts.

Carfix Workshop is fairly modern that serves all types of car services and serves all car brands. This company workshop has been supported by the latest update tools and is carried out by professional mechanics through the operating system with the Integrated Management System. Carfix has alsomet the operational standards set by the government.  The company has met the national standard for workers (Certified by LSP Automotive) professional certificates, as well as ISO covering ISO Standard, 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45000.

According to Dr. Zainal Arifin, M.T, the training program will be conducted for one batch each year based on agreed specification and condition and modules from Carfix. “Hopefully, this program will also give further opportunities for UNY students and alumni to have internships or work as  branch heads or service advisers at Carfix,” Zainal said.
