GARUDA YSU TEAM TEST-TRIAL THE GARUDA HYBRID (GH) 16

Garuda Hybrid (GH) 16, a hybrid car by Yogyakarta State University’s racing team will be the only car made by Indonesian students participating in the upcoming International Student Car Competition 2016, right now is undergoing its test-trial.
“On this test trial, the driver of Garuda UNY Team (GUT) already conducted some routine exercises, three times on this week at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman. Along with this trial, the development is still going on to yield a maximum output.” said Teguh, as the chief of ISCC team.

UNIQUE MUSIC FROM PLASTIC CUPS

Skillful hands playing plastic cup instruments on the table, followed with the strum of the guitar and clapping hands formed harmonic gestures and sounds. The vocalist sang a song accompanied by a simple yet unique rhyme. This unique orchestra amazed the audience to applause.

WORKSHOP ACTIVE LEARNING IN THE SCIENCES WITH ANA R. OTERO AND ALLEN C PRICE

The lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMNS) YSU joined the Workshop of Active Learning in the Sciences, on Wednesday (23/3) at the FMNS. The speakers on this were occasion Allen Price, PhD (Associate Professor at Emmanuel College Boston, USA) and Ana R. Otero, Ph.D. DVM (Senior Lecturer at Emmanuel College Boston, USA).

YSU TEAM WON SILVER MEDAL IN I-PEINX 2016

A team consisting of Yogyakarta State University (YSU) students succeeded to grab a silver medal at Innovation Practices Education and Industry Exhibition 2016 (I-PEINX 2016) in University of Technology Malaysia, Johor, Malaysia (14/3). The students comprised Fauzi Solichin (Informatics Engineering Education), Indra Dwi Suryanto (Electronics Engineering Education), Mega Ayu Wulandari (English Education), and Amin Sri Wahyu Ningrum (Chemistry) under the supervision of Andik Asmara, M.Pd.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM SOCIALIZATION FOR YSU’S ACHIEVERS EDUCATIONAL EMPLOYEES TO UNIVERSITI PUTRA MALAYSIA (UPM)

The Office of International Affairs and Partnerships (OIAP) YSU held a socialization activity on the program of internship for the achievers educational employees at YSU to UPM on Wednesday, 23 March 2016, taking place at classroom B OIAP. The content of the socialization was delivered by Retna Hidayah, Ph.D as the head of International Relationship Division OIAP. The activity was attended by Siti Amironah, S.T. (Faculty of Education), Ristina Rahmawati, S.E., M.Sc. (General Bureau of Planning and Finance), Jumanto (Faculty of Mathematics and Science) and M. Hendro Kuncoro, A.Md.

INTERVIEW FOR CANDIDATES REPRESENTING YSU’S STUDENTS ORGANIZATION TO UPM

On Wednesday (23/3/2016), taking place at the East Meeting Room 3 (LKBH) and Study Room A2 OIAP YSU, Yogyakarta State University held an interview for candidates in the program of study visit of the YSU’s Students Organization to the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). This test was joined by a total of 19 students from many faculties and organizations. From the selection process, 12 students will be selected for taking this program of study visit to UPM.

BUNGLON MULTIFUNCTION BED, A SMART SOLUTION FOR NARROW STUDENTS ROOMS

Students of Mechanical Engineering Education year 2013 Yogyakarta State University, namely Agung Pratama Putra, Ahmad Zainudin, Dwi Nor Wibowo, under supervision of Dr. Eng. Didik Nurhadiyanto, MT have just launched their innovative work that is a multifunction bed designed for minimalist rooms. The lenght of the bed is 1880 mm, width is 900, and height 760 mm. This bed is expected to save space, perfect for students living in a dormitory.

The strength of the bed lies in its ability to be folded to serve several functions, either as a flat bed, cozy bad, sofa, shelves, or table.

YSU-STYLE RELAXATION CHAIR

A critical factor in the success of an organization is the presence of capable and skilled employees with high morale, so satisfactory work can be expected. However, there are many factors that cause a decrease in the work ethic among employees behavior, namely less discipline, less strict regulations from office to its employees, to the facility and the state of agency that tend to make employees bored and lazy. In this case, the adequate office facilities will support employees in work. One of them is a chair, a tool widely used by employees to support the work process in office.

YSU HOSTS INFORMATION SESSION OF NIC 2016 WITH BIC

As part of an international event Tangerang Global Innovation Forum (TGIF) 2016, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education and the city government of Tangerang Selatan host National Innovation Competition (NIC) 2016, organized by Business Innovation Centre (BIC). As an attempt to disseminate the information regarding the competition, BIC in collaboration with Yogyakarta State University (YSU) held Presentation and Information Session of NIC 2016 on Monday (21/3/2016).

POLICY OF NATION AND CHARACTER BUILDING: COMPARING INDONESIA-MALAYSIA

Prof. Madya dato, Dr. Abdul Razaq Ahmad (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia) were to give keynote speech in the studium generale organized by Educational Policy study program, the Department of Philosophical Sociology Education with the theme of `Policy of Nation and Character Building: Comparing Indonesia-Malaysia`. The agenda attracted 159 participants at the Abdullah Sigit room, FE YSU (10/3). The Dean of Faculty of Education YSU, Dr. Haryanto, M.Pd. urged the participants of this studium generale to gain knowledge on the education in Indonesia and Malaysia.
